CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPE

3/4 cup of brown sugar

3/4 cup of white granulated sugar

1/2 cup of Crisco
-
1/2 cup of melted butter
-
2 eggs
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon baking soda
-
1 teaspoon vanilla
-
2 – 2 1/4 cup white flour
-
1 cup + 1 handful of Nestle Chocolate Chips
DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Combine brown sugar, white granulated sugar, and Crisco in large mixing bowl and beat on medium speed
-
Unwrap one stick of butter (1/2 cup) and cut into little squares and place in a microwave safe bowl or cup and microwave two times for 15 seconds stirring butter until completely melted

add hot melted butter to batter mixture in bowl…do not turn mixer off but continue to mix on medium speed while preparing the eggs
-
crack two eggs into small separate bowl and whisk with a fork and then add to the mixing ingredients in bowl already…do not turn mixer off but continue to mix everything on medium speed

add salt, baking soda, and vanilla

stop mixer, scrape down sides of bowl, and add 1 cup of flour on low-speed

scrape sides of bowl and then add another 1 cup of flour
-
gradually add remaining 1/4 cup of flour as needed a little at a time until cookie dough sticks to beater nicely

add Nestle Chocolate Chips

using two dinner spoons scoop and push dough onto baking sheet and then with fingers make a nice rounded ball
-
place in oven for 10-12 minutes or until just golden brownallow cookies to sit on cookie sheet about 7 minutes until they flatten before removing to a cooling rack

yields approximately 36 cookies
